In which I repeat I don’t think I read the same Wildfell Hall as everyone else
Tenant of Wildfell Hall is considered Anne Brontë’s masterwork, and even considered by some to be superior to Emily’s traditionally hailed genius in Wuthering Heights. Once I got over the stiff, crazy Victorian writing I found it to be pretty good too. But I’m pretty sure I wasn’t reading the same book as everyone else.
