I’m finally moving on
after the tragic and baffling disappearance of my precious 1G SD card with all my Gutenberg ebooks, I got a nice, cheap 512 (the 256s I have are for the camera). I got book from the library of books/authors people should read and am stocking up again. About 100 of the authors are at least partially public domain in English, with notable exceptions of a lot of really old Chinese/Japanese/Arabian authors who weren’t translated until at least the 1920s.
Since there are only 100 or so authors from the list, of course there are a lot more that need to be supplemented. After all, who leaves out Doyle while including the abominable Joyce? (Blech). I’m also including some *ahem* more recent authors whose analogue books I own. A bit Bartesque? Probably, but it’s not what’s keeping me up at night. That would be reading the books.
